Dr. Stewart A.Jackson Chief Executive Officer, President and Director
Dr. Stewart A. Jackson, Chief Executive Officer, President and Director Dr. Jackson is an accomplished mining professional with 49 years of experience in the exploration and development of mineral deposits and in the management of public companies. He has been involved in multiple mineral discoveries and evaluations. Most recently he has been involved in the delineation of a major uranium, molybdenum, nickel and vanadium resource in Sweden on properties held by Continental Precious Minerals Inc. These properties contain a significant uranium resource exceeding 440 million pounds of uranium oxide (U3O8), over 7 billion pounds of vanadium (V2O8), over 900 million pounds of molybdenum (MoO3) and over 800 million pounds of nickel (Ni), with drilling continuing to expand the resource. Prior to that he was instrumental in the advancement of the Turnagain nickel sulphide deposit of northern British Columbia, Canada , held by Hard Creek Nickel Corporation, from a prospect to the billion tonne resource category. While involved with his initial public company, Crown Resource Corporation in the 1980’s, multiple discoveries of gold were made in the Republic District of Washington State, USA; totaling to date in the order of 4.5 million ounces; continuing to be produced by Kinross Gold Corporation. In the 1970’s he recognized the potential of the enormous Red Dog zinc-lead deposits in western Alaska, and was instrumental in their exploration and development by Cominco American Incorporated (now Teck-Cominco). Red Dog today produces over 10% of the world production of zinc from this long-lived zinc resource field. Subsequently, he was Exploration Manager for Houston Oil and Minerals Corporation during the discovery and development of the Manhattan, South McCoy and Borealis gold deposits of Nevada, USA. Dr. Jackson has authored and co-authored a number of scientific publications, is a member of several scientific and professional organizations, and holds a Professional Geologist ( P. Geol.) Registration in the Province of Alberta, Canada. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Western Ontario, a Master of Science degree in Stratigraphy and Mineral Deposits from the University of Toronto, and a Ph.D in Stratigraphy and Economic Geology from the University of Alberta.
Gary Van Norman Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Land Development, Director Gary Van Norman has been a Director of World Ventures, Inc. since February 1996 and also serves as its Vice President, Land Development and Secretary. Mr. Van Norman was Businessman/Land Developer. He has over 30 years expertise with land development, project management, and marketing industry, both in Canada and the USA. Mr. Van Norman was instrumental in the development of two of Whistler, BC's largest residential and recreational developments. He is currently actively involved in senior capacities with a similar project in BC. John Curry Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Information Officer, Director Mr. Curry has a 25-year record of achievement in sales and marketing, including extensive experience in the automotive and diesel industries. Since the mid-1990s, Mr. Curry has worked in the coatings industry and was instrumental in promoting the MX4 product line.
Blair Carson Director Mr. Carson a graduate of the Haileyburey School of Mines brings to the Board of Directors his 20 years experience in the mining and Oil and gas industry.
Ms. Patricia Sheahan Director Ms. Sheahan brings to the Board of Directors an extensive background as a geologist/consultant in mineral exploration. Ms. Sheahan has served as a Director for several public mining exploration companies over the past two decades and has been President of Konsult International Inc. since 1978. Ms. Sheahan has served as Chairman of Communications for the Prospectors as Developers Association of Canada for the last three years and as Chairman of the Diamond Technical Sessions for the past 16 years. Ms. Sheahan has served a President/Chairman of The Ontario Club for two terms and currently serving as a director of the board.
